Biography

Born on January 1, 1961, in Zaporozhzhie.

In 1983, graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with a degree in Economic Cybernetics.

Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2008).

Career:

  • 1978–1983: Student at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
  • 1983–1991: Postgraduate student, Junior Researcher, Researcher, Senior Researcher, Head of Laboratory at the Central Economic Mathematical Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
  • 1991–1992: First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Economic Relations of the Russian Federation.
  • 1993: First Deputy Minister, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations of the Russian Federation.
  • 1993: Leading Researcher, Acting Head of Laboratory at the Central Economic Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
  • 1993–1996: Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy.
  • 1996: Head of the Economic Security Department of the Security Council Staff of the Russian Federation.
  • 1996–1999: Head of the Information and Analytical Department of the Federation Council Staff of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

  • 2019–2024: Member of the Board (Minister) for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

  • April 21, 2025: Appointed State Secretary of the Union State (Resolution No. 1 of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, April 21, 2025).
