Pavel Borodin Held a Meeting with Heads of Union Mass Media

On October 21st, 2009 State Secretary of the Union State Pavel Borodin held an annual resulting meeting with the heads of union mass media. The event took place at the Standing Committee of the Union State.

On October 21^st, 2009 State Secretary of the Union State Pavel Borodin held an annual resulting meeting with the heads of union mass media. The event took place at the Standing Committee of the Union State.

First of all, the participants of the meeting reviewed current activities of union mass media. Moreover, news media representatives were set an objective to improve and increase the efficiency of informational support of union formation processes.

In his speech Pavel Borodin urged the journalists to take union information policy most seriously and perform their duties at a proper professional level. The State Secretary believes that union programmes should get a more extensive coverage; social problems ought to be paid more attention to, whereas concrete issues of union formation should be at the centre of mass media attention.

Furthermore, Standing Committee of the Union State heard the reports of Sergey Shukhno, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State; Irina Narkevich, Head of Social Policy and Informational Support Department; heads of mass media and organizations-partners representing both Belarus and Russia.
