According to the Union State Secretary, Russian Media “formed unreasonably gloomy picture” of the visit made by the Russian Federation delegation with government chairman Vladimir Putin at the head in Minsk last week. “When you work over something, pay attention to the agenda”, - said Pavel Borodin to journalists.

„There are no reasons to expect any surprises from anyone and Igor Shuvalov has already said that it’s a go and the rhetoric…will have no influence on our economic relations. Moreover economy is an original reflection of political relations. And we have common economy and territory. Only for the first quarter of this year the turnover made up 5 billion dollars and last year turnover between Russia and Belarus was 34, 5 billion dollars!”, - said PAvel Borodin.

Making comments on the statement made by the RF Minister of Finance Aleksei Kudrin who believes that Belarus is experiencing difficult economic situation, State Secretary pointed out that “difficult economic situation in Belarus was in 2000 when all the plants didn’t work. Today everything works. The only possibility to solve the problem is to negotiate and come to an agreement. There are no questions about economy in Belarus, although certainly the problems exist”.

Pavel Borodin said to journalists that Union Ministers’ Council meeting was productive. 22 issues were considered, five industrial programs and two programs on nanotechnologies were approved, what is according to State Secretary wasn’t covered enough in the Media.

“What we are doing is important for the whole world. We have 28 thousand enterprises working and 5 million working places available. When you write about things that refer to real activities, so do it objectively”, - said State Secretary.
