Union Council of Ministers will discuss fight against crisis consequences and SSC meeting organization

In the condition of the world financial and economic crisis, the Government of the Republic of Belarus intends to focus attention on the framing of agreed measures to protect the interests of national producers at commodity markets of Russia and Belarus, said Prime Minister S . Sidorsky during his report to President Alexander Lukashenko on Jan uary, 15 .

At present , said prime minister, the ministries of econom y of both sates are already working on the coordination of the Union Plan of Action of the Governments of Belarus and Russia to minimize the consequences of the financial crisis and to improve the parameters of balance of payment and the conditions for entrepreneurship and trade.

The press service of the President in this regard add ed that this issue will be included into agenda of the next meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State, which is scheduled for January , 30 in Moscow: «The draft agenda now includes approximately 35 issues proposed for discussion».

The second major theme of the union Council of Ministers will be the discussion of the holding of the meeting of the Union State Supreme State Council . It was reported at the press service that a t the moment the date of SSC meeting depends on how prepared will be all the necessary documents. President of Belarus has given appropriate instructions concerning the agenda of the forthcoming SSC meeting. We must consider the whole range of issues that need to be handled for further development of the Union State, he said.
