The contest “Best Goods of Belarus on the Market of the Russian Federation” is held annually in order to raise the competitiveness of Belarusian products, maximize export potential of domestic manufacturers and enhance their positive image on the Russian market, reports the press service of the State Standard of Belarus.
The contest has been held within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia and the programme “100 best goods of Russia” since 2001. Over this period the produce of more than 550 Belarusian enterprises and firms has been recognized as the winner of the contest.
Legal persons irrespective of their form of ownership as well as sole traders registered in accordance with the established procedure in Belarus enjoy the right to participate in this competition. There are four nominations: food products, manufactured consumer goods, folk art and artistic crafts; products for industrial purposes. Nominated goods are accepted for consideration under the condition of being supplied to the Russian Federation for not less than one year.
Organizations that want to participate in the contest are to submit an application and a set of documents to the secretariat of the Committee on Summing up the Results of the Competition formed under the State Standard of Belarus until July 15th, 2011. Evaluation of the materials submitted by the participants is carried out in accordance with the established procedure.
Enterprises whose goods were voted the best are rewarded with a diploma at a special ceremony and acquire the right to place the logo of the contest on their goods, packaging, labels, in documents and promotional materials.
Information about products-winners of the contest is put on the websites of the State Standard and the programme “100 best goods of Russia”, as well as in the directory of this programme which is sent to the state run public authorities of the Russian Federation and other organizations concerned.
