The Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of Belarus L.Yermoshina when speaking at press conference pointed out that our country does practically everything for the recognition of the elections. She underlined that Belarusian elections organizers «demonstrate full openness».

In particular in Belarus 205 international observers have been already accredited and work. They represent 5 international organizations, CIS Executive committee, Parliamentary Assembly of Belarus and Russia, CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly, Inter-parliamentary Assembly of EEC and OSCE ODHIR. In all there are representatives from 27 countries working in the country. The Central Electoral Committee is waiting for the arrival of observers from elections organizers in the CIS and Baltic countries. “Practically all Central Electoral Commissions including Baltic ones responded. There most probably won’t be only representatives of the Central Electoral Commissions of Moldova and Turkmenia”, – L.Ermoshina said.

Besides, there are 522 more applications for accreditation of international observers that are at the moment under consideration.

Making comments on the remarks made by OSCE ODHIR mission representatives, L.Ermoshina noticed that«now as remarks are used those things that in 2004 met understanding, for example, restrictions for convicted citizens ». At the same time she pointed out that OSCE thinks that elections in Belarus are too quiet, without scandals and debates. L.Ermoshina's connects this factor first of all with insufficient public practice of the nominees.

In conclusion, the chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of Belarus expressed hope that Parliamentary Elections in Belarus will be recognized by the international community.” it is always necessary to hope for the best ", – summarized L.Ermoshina.
