Katar’s State Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdalla ben Naser ben Halifa Al Tani with visit in Belarus

On August, 24 the signing of memorandum about mutual understanding in security sphere cooperation between the governments of Belarus and Katar took place in Minsk. The signatories to the document were the Minister of the Interior of Belarus Vladimir Naumov and State Minister of the Interior of Katar Sheikh Abdalla ben Naser ben Halifa Al Tani. He came to Minsk with the visit as a head of Katar’s Interior Ministry delegation on August, 23.

On August, 24 the signing of memorandum about mutual understanding in security sphere cooperation between the governments of Belarus and Katar took place in Minsk. During the negotiations the issues of organization of cooperation in executive training, resistance to organized criminality and drugs spread, fight against hi tech crimes, illegal migration, human traffic and terrorism were discussed, said V. Naumov after the negotiations.

Belarus and Katar cooperate not only in the sphere of organized criminality but in executive training as well. V.Naumov reported that during the year more than 100 Katar’s police workers have been trained in Belarus. In perspective Katar’s Interior Ministry workers and emir’s security service responsible for VIP persons’ guarding will be trained here.

In his turn Katar’s State Interior Minister gave a high appraisal to the Belarusian instructors and the executive training system for law enforcement bodies. He pointed out that Katar appreciates the cooperation with Belarus and counts on its further development.

In the course of the visit in Minsk Katar’s Interior Ministry delegation will be shown the peculiarities of work organization and training system of Interior Ministry special unit personnel “Almaz” against terrorism and Interior Ministry troops. Foreign specialists will visit the exhibition of Belarusian manufacturers specializing on equipment production for law enforcement needs.

Katar’s delegation will stay in Belarus with visit till August, 27.
