Union Parliamentarians to Work out a New Project on Environmental Protection

Under her words, the Union State Parliamentarians are to work out a new project on environmental protection. “I also like the work of nongovernmental organizations which are enlisted along with the legislative authority for solving environmental problems”, noted T.Moskalkova. For instance, in Russia the social organization “Forest Patrol” began its activity, there has been launched a programme which describes the environmental condition of a particular region and identifies the budget component. “We have the right to place the environmental term in the forefront which means secure future for our children”, she underlined.

As regards the construction of a nuclear power plant in Belarus, it is a complicated issue, according to Russian Parliamentarian. T.Moskalkova also added that Parliamentary Assembly Commission is to examine the question in future. “We handle the problem from the following point of view: in spite of all pragmatic and economic interests of the country, Europe is on the way to cut the energy supply component for the purpose of environmental security of the population”, summed up T.Moskalkova.
