The new President of the Russian Federation should continue the constructive work on broadening and deepening integration, said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Belarus Alexander Surikov on March 4th at a polling station in Minsk.

The new President of the Russian Federation should continue the constructive work on broadening and deepening integration, said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Belarus Alexander Surikov on March 4th at a polling station in Minsk.

“We expect the new President of Russia to continue constructive collaboration between our counties in order to enhance it in the area of economy, increase cooperation, raise standard of living, and promote further improvement of people’s well-being. We look forward to normal creative work aimed at strengthening integration ties and unity of our countries,” he said.

The diplomat noted that Belarus and Russia have already solved many integration problems. “You know that we are establishing the Union State. True, we didn’t succeed in everything during the period 1999-2011. But now we are going through a new stage of integration processes, with other countries joining it. This should give a strong impetus to economic progress in our relations,” said Alexander Surikov.
