In 2011 Belarusian-Russian Bilateral Trade to Reach Record Figures

By the end of 2011 trade turnover between Belarus and Russia will have reached a record high, said Deputy State Secretary the Union State Ivan Bambiza during the press conference at “RIA Novosti” news agency.

By the end of 2011 trade turnover between Belarus and Russia will have reached a record high, said Deputy State Secretary the Union State Ivan Bambiza during the press conference at “RIA Novosti” news agency.

According to him, by the end of 2011 Belarusian-Russian trade turnover will total 40 billion dollars. Ivan Bambiza said that so far the highest level of bilateral trade had been reached in 2008 and amounted to 34 billion dollars.

A significant role in Belarusian-Russian turnover is played by well-established relations with Russian regions. There are about 200 different agreements between Belarus and Russian regions not only in economic but also in other areas.

The Deputy State Secretary stressed that the share of innovative products in Belarusian-Russian trade turnover is growing which meets today’s requirements.
