According to Deputy Economy Minister of Belarus Alexander Yaroshenko, one of the pressing problems now is the decreasing share of Belarusian goods in Russia’s imports ratio.
“We discussed this issue at the meeting of the CES Committee on macroeconomics. Belarus is continually increasing both the range and volume of goods. However, in 2013 the share of Belarusian goods in Russia’s imports totaled little more than 5%. In 2000 this figure was over 11%, which means a twofold drop. Thus, despite growing physical volume, our share does not increase. Actually, it declines,” explained A.Yaroshenko. According to him, this problem requires further consideration and solution.
