Union State parliamentarians observe PA BSECO work in Athens

On June, 9-11, 2008 in Athens (Hellenic Republic) Parliamentary Assembly (PC) representatives as observers are taking part in the summit of Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation organization (PA BSECO) member states parliaments representatives and in the 31st PA BSECO General Assembly plenary meeting.

On June, 9-11, 2008 in Athens (Hellenic Republic) Parliamentary Assembly (PC) representatives as observers are taking part in the summit of Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation organization (PA BSECO) member states parliaments representatives and in the 31st PA BSECO General Assembly plenary meeting.

As it was reported to www.soyuz.by correspondent at the PC press-service, delegation is led by Valentin Simirski, chairman of Parliamentary Assembly Commission on security, defence and crime prevention.

The summit program provides the speeches of heads of PA BSECO member states parliaments as well as heads of parliaments and parliamentary assemblies with the status of PA BSECO observers. In particular it will concern the achievements and perspectives of inter-Parliamentary cooperation in the extended Black Sea region.

Apart from that summit participants are planning to adopt PA BSECO Declaration “On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Assembly foundation”. Summit takes place before the 31st PA BSECO General Assembly plenary meeting and lasts during June, 9-11.

The composition of Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea economic cooperation organization founded on February, 26 in 1993 includes 12 states: Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Armenia, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Rumania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.

The PA BSECO status have 13 states including Belarus.
