OSCE First Summit in 10 years in Astana
December 1-2 in Astana Summit of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will take place, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports. The main issue on the agenda will be the views exchange and adoption of general policy declaration, which will analyze the current situation in the OSCE region, priorities for the future work. It should be noted that the OSCE meeting in the format of the Summit were not carried out over 10 years.

It should be noted that the OSCE meeting in the format of the Summit were not carried out over 10 years.
In preparation for this event, the Belarusian side has noted the need to adapt the OSCE to new geopolitical realities, updating its software tools, especially in the field of European security. The Belarusian side hopes that the summit will accelerate the clearance of the OSCE as a full-fledged international organization with its own charter.
Particular attention is paid to the Belarusian side development of the OSCE in the field of economic development and environmental protection, including such important issues as energy security of countries and region as a whole, providing the current level of efficiency of national economy and security of critical energy infrastructure.
