The 35th International festival of arts “Belarusian autumn” is over. Ovations, flowers and full houses accompanied almost all the concerts of the festival in the period from October, 22 till November, 20. And if foreign performers aroused delight and sometimes tears, collectives of our country reminded what for Belarusians the origin of native culture means.

In particular folk group “Kupalinka” that appears on famous European stages showed to Minsk public the programm “The Ball of Belarusian land” that was welcomed with a bang. But as it was told to the www.soyuz.by correspondent by the art director of “Kupalinka”, the Honored Artist of Belarus, Elena Telkova, Belarusian folklore makes the audience sing and dance not only in the motherland but also in many other countries of the world including Russia.

“When we go on tour to Russia whatever the stage is we are always welcomed very cordially”, - underlined E.Telkova, who has been a soloist in the folk group for 42 years already from the year of “Kupalinka” foundation. According to her words the mysterious Russian soul also sings with Belarusian group and there is a spirit of happiness and understanding that presents in the hall.

We would point out that “Kupalinka” in recent years has performed in the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, on the Days of culture in Murmansk oblast and Yaroslavl, at the concerts of friendship in Moscow and Moscow oblast and at other Russian music stages.
