Day of Belarus at “Slavyanski Bazar”

Within the scopes of the Day of Belarus at “Slavyanski Bazar” the concert of Arts masters of the republic took place. Forestalling the performance the first Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Rylatko said that Belarusian concert within the scopes of the largest art forum that is “Slavyanski Bazar in Vitebsk” is an original recital and the climax of the big cultural and public action “We are Belarusians”. The name of the concert already contains its concept. This is the song which unites the past, the present and the future of talented people with a kind and generous soul. This is a hospitable home that is open for all the peoples and cultures of different countries, pointed out Vladimir Rylatko.

At the festival stage on the Day of Belarus an impressive dramatized show took place. As if in the Time Machine the spectators traveled to the times of Polotsk Principality, saw a joust, took part in a hunt, saw amusements in an old castle. The pictures of the past were created with the help of the knight clubs “Knyazhich” and “North temple order”, State dance ensemble of the Republic of Belarus and Kupala theatre actors. Even the hosts – actress Vera Polyakova and singer Georgi Koldun from time to time disguised themselves in different costumes of the Middle Age. At the stage of Summer Amphitheatre appeared Irina Dorofeeva, Pyotr Elfimov, Inna Afanasyeva, Gyunesh who in different years suitably represented Belarus at the song contest “Slavyanski Bazar in Vitebsk”. Living and working now in Russia Ruslan Alehno and Natalya Podolskaya felt themselves not alien at the Belarusian concert. The auditorium (that evening the Summer Amphitheatre was full) gave the hand to the groups “Palace”, “Pesnyary” and “New Jerusalem”.

At the end of the gala-concert of the Arts masters of Belarus the sky over the night Vitebsk blossomed out with fireworks.
