Thus on June, 20 at the pass station “Kotlovka” during the customs clearing of the lorry “Volvo” moving from the Lithuanian Republic the Smorgon border guards discovered the goods hidden from the customs examination. In the semitrailer the citizen of Belarus was trying to bring in illegally 100 kilos of knitwear, 6 bags with cosmetics and perfumery as well as the cigarettes without the documentary stamps of the Republic of Belarus. The smuggled goods to the sum of about 27 million rubles were passed to the Oshmyan customs office. On that day in Oshmyan the border guards together with the workers of customs and Interior affairs agencies found and exempted about 3 thousand packages of cigarettes of the Russian production without Belarusian documentary stamps in the garage that belongs to the citizen of Russia. Brought illegally tobacco goods to the sum of 3 million rubles were passed to the taxes-and-duties inspection of the Oshmyan region.

On June, 21 in Verbovichi settlement that is in Norovlya region the Gomel border guards together with the interior affairs and customs agencies workers detained three citizens of Belarus. The apprehended people possessed the undeclared goods brought from Ukraine outside the pass station.

The day later, on June, 22 early in the morning the Gomel border guards detained three trespassers of state border from Ukraine who opened the season on “forest gifts” picking in the region of Lyadtsy settlement in Gomel region. One of the trespassers turned out to be under age and he was passed to his mother. The other two were fined 700 000 rubles.

On June, 23 at pass station “Novaya Guta” the Gomel border guards and customs officers discovered hidden goods during customs clearance of the vehicle moving from Ukraine. In the saloon of the “VAZ” vehicle the citizen of the Republic of Belarus was trying to bring in illegally 69 descriptions of goods of national consumption, 17 bottles of cognac and 4 bottles of vodka. The goods to the sum of more than 3, 5 million rubles were exempted by the customs workers.

On June, 23 the Pinsk border guards in Kobrin region detained the trespasser from Ukraine who was trying to drive illegally 7 cows across the border. Contraband cattle driving on this territory is quite a serious problem. As statistics shows, this “business” acquired firm criminal characteristics.
