“Belintertrans” and “Transcontainer” signed an agreement on cooperation

State freight enterprise “Belintertrans” (Belarus) and PLC “Transcontainer” (Russia) signed an agreement on cooperation. The document was signed during the visit of the Russian company delegation in Minsk on February, 3-4. That was reported by the Belarusian railway agency press-service.

In compliance with the agreement “Belintertrans” will organize the transportation of the PLC “Transcontainer” loaded and unladen platforms and containers on the territory of Belarus and will facilitate their usage. The common work of the two parties will promote the development of the railway freight transportation and complex service in Belarus and Russia as well as container transportation between the EU and Asian-Pacific region countries.

Deputy sales executive of the PLC “TransContainer” Pavel Sokolov commented on the signed document in the following way: “We’ve got a reliable partner that, with the help of Belarusian shippers,o can provide a good service on the territory of Russia and in the world in general. Today there are representative offices of the company in Germany, Latvia, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and China. The agents of the company work in China, Japan, South Korea and Turkey. In Finland there is a joint enterprise “ContainerTrans Scandinavia”. And we believe that together with Belintertrans we will be able to meet all the needs of the modern market that Belarusian companies want”.

The chief executive of the representative office of PLC “TransContainer” in the Republic of Belarus Yuri Kapustin in his turn pointed out the following: “With the signing of the agreement the service market outlets are expanding for the Belarusian railway to the European and Eastern countries. In modern conditions when maritime, motor and even air rate quotation is decreasing and with the severe competition we need to work out a strategy and tariff policy in order not only to attract the customers but also to maintain the current positions”.

“With the signing of the agreement we are getting more opportunities for systemic marketing work organization, and for the involvement of the goods into foreign-trade railway routes passing through the territory of Russia and Belarus that is extremely important in the conditions of the world crisis and intensification of the competition with other kinds of transport – marine, motor and air transport”, - underlined in Belarusian railway agency.
