Tula Shopping for Belarusian goods

A delegation representing seven food industry enterprises from Gomel region of Belarus has visited the city of gunsmiths. The purpose of the trip was to find business partners in our region.

A delegation representing seven food industry enterprises from Gomel region of Belarus has visited the city of gunsmiths. The purpose of the trip was to find business partners in our region.

The main interest of the guests was the possibility to export their products to Tula region. The range of products numbers several hundred names of sausages and other types of meat, as well as margarine and confectionery products. Besides that – different kinds of packaging, natural cosmetics and veterinary medicine for livestock.

According to the representatives, Belarusian products are offered at quite competitive prices, which, in particular, can be proved by successful experience of deliveries to Kaluga and Smolensk regions. The plans are to develop the market of some other regions of Russia (after the trip to the city of gunsmiths, the guests departed on a business visit for our neighbors in Ryazan).

The quality of the products was described briefly: it is all made from natural ingredients without preservatives and other achievements of chemistry and genetic engineering. The produce meets all the stringent standards (GOSTs) of the USSR time, which in Belarus, unlike in Russia, weren’t abolished.

The meeting was organized under the auspices of Tula and Belarusian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. We were represented by heads and representatives of a dozen firms engaged in retail and wholesale supply of various goods, including the ones offered by Belarusian guests. Judging by the negotiations held, the parties managed to find common ground.
