In Vitebsk a Parliamentary Assembly meeting on security, defense and crime prevention will be held

At Victory Square in Vitebsk on September 29in 9.30 wreath-laying at the "Eternal Flame" will take place. The event will be attended by members of the Parliamentary Assembly, representatives of the administration and veterans' organizations of the region.

On the same day at 10.30 am a working meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly deputies, heads of Pskov and Smolensk regions delegations with A.N. Kosinets, the chairman of the Vitebsk regional executive committee, A.E. Atyasovymin chairman of the Vitebsk oblast Council of Deputies in the building of the Vitebsk regional executive committee will be held.

Program activities will continue and the delegates will get acquainted with the activities of internal affairs agencies of Vitebsk region and the special forces of internal troops. After that, union parliamentarians will be present at a general revision and militia mounting outfits for intercession for the service, which will be held at Victory Square.

In the afternoon the Parliamentary Assembly deputies are planning to visit the agro-industrial enterprise for production and processing of agricultural products OAO Rudakovo "(Vitebsk oblast, village Novka) and to meet with the staff.

A joint meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly on security, defense and combating crime and the representatives of the Vitebsk oblast Council deputies with the delegations of Pskov and Smolensk regions is going to take place on September 30 at 10.00 in the building of the Vitebsk Oblast Council.

The meeting will be attended by members and deputies of National Assembly of Belarus and the Russian Federal Assembly, representatives of local authorities, relevant ministries and agencies.

At a joint meeting security issues of border regions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus the interaction between authorities of States - Parties to the Treaty establishing the Union State in providing public safety and improving the standard - the legal framework to strengthen law and order shall be dicsussed. It is also planned to review the progress in implementing the Union State program "Fighting crime in the territories of the States - Parties to the Treaty establishing the Union State for 2008 - 2012 years." In addition, during the session the parliamentarians will discuss measures to strengthen the food security of our countries.
