A.Fursenko: Belarus and Russia cooperate very closely in education

In an exclusive interview with the information analysis portal of the Union State A.Fursenko, Minister of Education and Science of Russia, stated that Belarus and Russia cooperate very closely in education. In particular, according to him, educational departments of the two countries have a lot of joint programmes. Andrei Fursenko himself constantly works in with Belarusian Minister of Education Alexander Radkov. “We hold the same opinions on the development of education,” in such a way Andrei Fursenko described his relations with Alexander Radkov. “We believe that educational changes brook no fuss, on the contrary – they should be well-grounded,” he added.

Andrei Fursenko recognized as justified the requirements set for the Russians who want to enter Belarusian educational establishments to take an exam in the Belarusian language if it is necessary. “If a man comes to study to another state, then this state certainly has the right to demand the knowledge of its official language. Just as we do: when people come to our country, we do require that these people should know the Russian language,” noted Andrei Fursenko.
