Culture and Education in the Union State in 2009

Next year’s Union budget appropriates for implementation of 15 programmes and events in the area of culture and education. The amount of financing will make up more than RUB 85 million.

Next year’s Union budget appropriates for implementation of 15 programmes and events in the area of culture and education. The amount of financing will make up more than RUB 85 million.

The contest of scientific and technical work among Union State students “XXI Century Talents” will become a novelty for Belarusian-Russian educational area. It will appreciate the potential of young technology talents at true value.

Taking into account that youth policy is one of the Union State priorities, festivals, expert-classes and rallies will be organized for the younger generation. Traditionally, the festivals “Youth Art”, “Youth Is for the Union State” as well as the festival of the disabled “Together We Can More” will be held within the framework of the Union State.

Musical achievements of the Union State will be demonstrated by Youth Belarusian-Russian Symphony Orchestra as well as by the variety performers of the arts festival “Slavyanskiy Bazaar in Vitebsk”.

A joint exhibition of Belarusian and Russian museum holdings dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic war as well as solemn events dedicated to the Unity Day of Belarusian and Russian Peoples will be also held in 2009.

Besides that it is planned to hold a tourist’s rally of Union State students, a school contest “Russia and Belarus: historical and spiritual community, a civil-and-patriotic relief “For Fatherland Honour” as well as a military-patriotic relief for the students of both countries’ Suvorov Military Schools.
