Union State budget for 2009 increased by 20%

Budget revenues are formed at the expense of coordinated member states allocations including the Russian Federation’s ones at the rate of 3 167 000, 0 thousand Russian roubles and the ones of the Republic of Belarus at the rate of 1 705 000 thousand Russian roubles.

Expenditures of the Union State project budget for 2009 cover the financing of 42 programs, subprograms and events.

The project budget for 2009 implies the following expenditure budget directions:

- Industry, energy, construction industry, transport, communication and informatics – 29%

- Military technical cooperation, law enforcement activities and Union State security -35%

- Emergency management and environment protection – 5, 9%

- Social policy, health care and sport, education, culture and Mass Media – 12% and other.

In the Union State project budget for 2009 the expenditure type “Other expenditures that do not refer to any type of expenditures mentioned” implies the opportunity to finance new Union State programs, subprograms, projects and events that will be approved in due order in 2009 including the three new programs approved by the Union State Council of Ministers. These are the following programs: “Development and exploitation of the range of IC chips and semi-conduct devices for the equipment of special purpose and double application”; “Development of technologies and organization of a skilled production of high efficient and biologically safe medicine of a new generation and biologically sound baby food on the basis of human lactoferrin taken from transgenic animal milk” and “Development of nanotechnologies for creation of space technology materials, devices and systems and their adjustment to other brunches of technology and mass production”.
