P.Borodin: “At present the dialogue of cultures has notably brisked up”

Culture and art represent imperishable values which help people get to know each other better, understand and respect each other. Consequently, they consolidate the relations and make them stable, said Pavel Borodin, State Secretary of the Union State, welcoming the guests and organizers of the International Festival of National Cultures “Culture Brings People Together”. “Even drastic turns of the history couldn’t break off cultural contacts that nations maintained. What is more, at present the dialogue of cultures has notably brisked up,” believes State Secretary. International Festival of National Cultures “Culture Brings People Together” which is held on 9th-13th October 2008 on the basis of the Concert Hall at the health resort “Belarus” and the “Active Rest Centre under the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation” serves as a striking example, noted P.Borodin. In his opinion, it is an outstanding event that originates from Krasnodar land and performs an all-important mission that is education of people using the best examples of the world art. “Thanks to this international event we get to know new names and admire high masterly performance. Festival’s life rich in events, performances of talented artists and musicians as well as lively communication provides a firm basis for mutual enrichment of our cultures and spiritual unity of people,” he explained. P.Borodin expressed confidence that good aspirations and constructive labour of event organizers can make the festival an important milestone on the way to further consolidation of international relations.
