Forth Forum of Union State Programmes to Be Held in Autumn-2009

In an interview with the correspondent of www.soyuz.by Vasiliy Khrol, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State, said that the tradition of holding forums on Union State projects will be carried on. The next, forth in succession, forum is scheduled for autumn-2009.

In an interview with the correspondent of www.soyuz.by Vasiliy Khrol, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State, said that the tradition of holding forums on Union State projects will be carried on. The next, forth in succession, forum is scheduled for autumn-2009.

According to him, during such meetings the participants choose and discuss concrete proposals which, later on, determine the future of Union programmes.

It should be noted that the First Forum on Union projects “Private-Government Cooperation: Goals and Prospects” took place in Moscow in 2006. That Forum gathered 15 representatives of Belarusian and Russian enterprises and organizations as well as 39 representatives of Union State authorities, federal, republic, regional and district public authorities of Belarus and Russia who were interested in implementation of Union programmes. It was decided to hold the Forum on a regular basis.

At the Third Forum which was held in October 2008 the participants presented highly elaborated projects and proposals. At the stand exposition which was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia Forum’s participants could acquainted themselves with the final results of some active programmes.

More than 200 people took part in the work of the Forum. Among them were such famous scientists as Yuri Israel, Petr Vityaz, Mikhail Davydov, Iosif Zalutski, Rudolf Aleksakhin, Ivan Maradudin, Sergey Pushkarski, Nataliya Sanzharova and others. More than 30 reports on topical problems, projects and developments in various areas of Union State life (from agriculture to supercomputer and space technologies) were brought to the attention of Forum’s participants and guests.
