On the Question of a Unified Educational Environment of the Union State

Educational systems of Belarus and Russia have model organizational differences, but there is no theoretical differentiation, B. Zdanovich said.

Educational systems of Belarus and Russia have model organizational differences, but there is no theoretical differentiation, B. Zdanovich said.

"We tried to create a unified educational space. If it was created, then we would be able to talk about absolutely equal opportunities for access to higher education in Russia and Belarus, but now some differences still exist, - Vladimir Zdanovich, the deputy of the House of Representatives, member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus and Russia Union, stated. - The differences are caused initially even by the fact that we started to build two different economic systems: a market one in Russia, and socially-oriented market in Belarus. "

According to the deputy, the emergence of differences contributed to the fact that "Russia has joined the Bologna Process a little earlier, Belarus has only recently declared this intention."

In addition, Belarus and Russia have different dates for final examinations in schools and colleges, and different forms of entrance tests: in Belarus there is centralized testing, and in Russia the unified state exam. "For this reason, there are certain difficulties in the receipt of entrants from Russia to Belarus and vice versa" - V. Zdanovich said. "There are no rigid theoretical differences, but the organizational ones, - he stressed. - Now the ministers of education of the two countries are working to remove these differences. "

As for the mutual exchange of students, then, as V. Zdanovich assured, there are no contradictions or differences there. You can freely send to Russia, Belarusian students and receive Russian. "Unfortunately, while we observed disparity of about 10 thousand Belarusians studying in Russia, and only about 4 thousand study in our country," - he concluded.
