Union state Writers’ union will issue its own magazine

Union state Writers’ union will issue a new Russian-language magazine “Sobor” that will become the organ of the Writers’ union. That was reported at the press conference by the chair of Writers’ Union of Belarus Nikolai Chrginets.

Union state Writers’ union will issue a new Russian-language magazine “Sobor” that will become the organ of the Writers’ union. That was reported at the press conference by the chair of Writers’ Union of Belarus Nikolai Chrginets.

“We are satisfied that we together with Russia people created Union State Writers’ Union. The writers of the both countries are actively joining the union. “Sobor” will publish not only famous writers and young authors but the writers from all over the world”, - said the chair of Writers’ Union.

According to Nikolai Cherginets the editorial council of the magazine “Sobor” has been already formed and the editor-in-chief appointed – it will be Vasili Shirko, a writer, the prize-winner of the State premium of the Republic of Belarus. The magazine “Sobor” will appear twice a month and the private publisher Aleksei Varaksin will be occupied with the publication. The first issue of the magazine is planned to be published already in June this year.
