Peter Miklashevich: The documents on the creation of the Custom Union don’t contradict the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus

The documents on the creation of the Custom Union don’t contradict the constitution of the Republic of Belarus. The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus stated during the press conference.

The documents on the creation of the Custom Union don’t contradict the constitution of the Republic of Belarus. The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus stated during the press conference.

In course of the interview Peter Miklashevich pointed out: “The Constitutional Court of Belarus has performed the inspection of the legislation on the creation of the Custom Union and didn’t detect any violations on the legal part”. At the same time the President of the Constitutional Court reported that there were no claims to perform the research of the legislation on the Custom Union applied to the Constitutional Court.

Even though Peter Miklashevich refused to give any comments on the levies of custom dues on the Russian-Belarusian border. “Being the President of the Constitutional Court, I can not express my point of view on the issue, unless it is the subject of the court trial”, - he clarified. But Peter Miklashevich added, that : “there is an International Agreement of 2007 between the Belarus and Russia on oil delivery, in scope of which the both parts should resolve all questions”
