Medvedev made special mention of Alexander Lukashenko’s effective work as Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev noted the effective and full of initiative work of Belarus’ President Alexander Lukashenko as Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council. He expressed such appreciation at the regular session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization which is being held in Moscow.

Dmitry Medvedev informed that the meeting’s agenda includes 35 items touching upon a variety of topics. According to him, special attention will be given to the implementation of the decisions taken at last year's December summit of the CSTO and the informal summit held this August.

Dmitry Medvedev also said that at this summit the chairmanship in the CSTO charter bodies passes from Belarus to Kazakhstan.
