Honored Artist of Russia singer Varvara was honoured with an award for creative embodiment of friendship between the peoples of Belarus and Russia. The award was presented to the artiste by Union State Secretary Pavel Borodin.
“We are forming the Union State thanks to the fact that there are such excellent people like Varvara,” noted Pavel Borodin. “I am pleased that such young, talented and popular artists care about the relations between the two countries, their traditions and culture. Varvara is a participant of the concerts dedicated to the Unity Day of Belarusians and Russians as well as the Victory Day, she is a permanent member of the Union State Festival jury, and is always attentive to those projects that are launched within the programmes aimed at developing relations between our countries. Above all that, Varvara beautifully performs songs both in Russian and Belarusian, thereby showing the community of our cultures. Let her work become an inspiration for many of today’s representatives of culture!” summed up the State Secretary of the Union State.
We would remind you that in different years the awards for creative embodiment of friendship between the peoples of Russia and Belarus were presented to such famous artists of Russia as Iosif Kobzon, Larisa Dolina, Nadezhda Kadysheva and many others.
