Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a Federal Law “On ratification of the Agreement between the Governments of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on mutual supplies of military, civil and dual-purpose produce in the period of mounting aggression and in wartime”, reports the press service of the Russian President.
The agreement is aimed at strengthening Russian-Belarusian relations by creating a legal basis and mechanisms for bilateral economic and military-technical cooperation between states-participants of the Agreement during the period of mounting aggression and at times of war. During these periods member-states of the Agreement undertake to ensure mutual supply of produce in accordance with the plans of mutual supplies of products for state needs of the parties within mobilization plans for their economies.
We would remind you that the federal law was adopted by the State Duma on January 26th, 2011 and approved by the Council of Federation on February 2nd, 2011.
