Belarus and Russia are steadily moving towards integration. As is reported by BelTA, such an opinion was expressed by Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on State-Building, Local Self-Government and Regulations of the National Assembly of Belarus G.Gritskevich when commenting upon the negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko.
“Today, Belarus and Russia are steadily moving towards integration, and the results of our cooperation are evident. Among them is a decision to allocate to Belarus another credit tranche from the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund, initialling of the general contract to build the Belarusian nuclear power plant, strong possibility of establishing a holding “RosBelavto”. This suggests the necessity and potential realizability of landmark joint projects which both countries are interested in,” said G.Gritskevich.
According to the parliamentarian, after the negotiations between Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, it is scientific and technical, industrial as well as human resources that will become a priority, and will form the basis for future relations.
“It is Putin's first foreign visit after his inauguration, and the fact that it was paid to brotherly Belarus once again tells the world and international community about our long-standing partnership and friendship,” believes G.Gritskevich.
The deputy also added that the relations between Belarus and Russia had always been transparent. He drew attention to the fact that the last ten days of May were full of meetings between governors of Russian regions, the Head of Belarus and the government.
