Belarusian-Russian Transnational Corporations to Be Established within Union State

Belarusian government has offered Russia to implement a project aimed at establishing five joint transnational corporations (TNCs) within the Union State framework, said Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich at the meeting with Union State Secretary Grigory Rapota.
“We are in for lots of work. In December we agreed with Dmitry Medvedev to carry out five joint projects which would result in the launch of Belarusian-Russian TNCs,” said the Belarusian Premier.
Mikhail Myasnikovich stressed that implementation of such joint projects speaks well for future prospects of the Union State.
“The government considers that the recent acceleration of the Union State formation processes is a positive trend. Integration processes don’t die on the vine – new projects are implemented. This fact provides an answer to the question about further Union relations,” said the Head of the Belarusian Government.
Russia and Belarus implement a lot of joint projects in such areas as engineering, biotechnology, energy, science and education. “Most importantly, these projects are “customized” for the future. These are large-scale projects, so all the structures of the Union State are welcomed to join in,” summarized Mikhail Myasnikovich.
In his turn, Union State Secretary Grigory Rapota emphasized the great interest in joint projects. “Immediately after the Union State Council of Ministers we joined in the work,” he stressed.
According to Grigory Rapota, this subject matter was also addressed at the meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko.
