The post soviet states officially accepted the integration which varies in speed and degree. This has been stated by Andrew Denisov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russian Federation, in the course of the on-line conference held on the site of the Russian newspaper « Газета . ру » .

The biggest community is, undoubtedly, CIS, which consists of 11 members at the moment. The next level of integration is EurAsEC, in the scope of which the Customs union between Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan is created. Both organizations are aimed at trade-economic cooperation. CSTO – is a military and political pattern of collaboration. And the Byelorussian-Russian union is no doubt the highest level of integration.

The participation in the system of integration is open to all post soviet states. Deputy Minister pointed out that “the countries which are ready to participate on a higher level, move on”. “Others can do it at any time regarding their wishes and possibilities” – he added.

18 years have passed since the collapse of the Soviet Union. “It is a long period” – Andrew Denisov believes. The whole system of inter-states relations changed. But as far as interests are concerned the changes go in for the concretizations only. “And to say that the unions haven’t made our countries closer would be wrong and unfair” – the Deputy Minister stressed.
