Vladimir Makei and Sergei Naryshkin Discussed Details of the Meeting between Presidents of Belarus and Russia

On April 6th, 2010 Head of the President’s Administration of Belarus Vladimir Makei and his Russian counterpart Sergei Naryshkin met in Moscow. The key objective of that meeting was to work out the details of the meeting between the Presidents of Belarus and Russia which is to take place in the near future.

The principled stand of Minsk is to make this meeting concrete, serious and informative.

Moreover, the heads of presidents’ administrations discussed some problem aspects of Belarusian-Russian relations and the prospects of developing bilateral cooperation in all areas.

Makei’s working tour to Moscow took place as a result of the agreements reached earlier by Presidents of Belarus and Russia Alexander Lukashenko and Dmitri Medvedev in the course of a telephone conversation.

During his visit to Moscow, the head of Alexander Lukashenko’s administration called on the embassy of Belarus where he held a series of conversations with the representatives of Belarusian diaspora and discussed the potential of a more active involvement of Belarusians living in Russia in the implementation of specific trade and economic projects in Belarus.

Vladimir Makei also met with Secretary of State of the Union State Pavel Borodin. They thoroughly reviewed the current agenda of the integration processes within the Union State.
