Working days of the Belarusian Government

During a videoconference on 15 August Anatoly Kalinin, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, discussed implementation of the programmes for overhaul of the facilities for the collection, processing and housing of materials resources. Minimum living wage budget increased by 5.4% in Belarus from 1 August

Belarus has approved the budget to cover a monthly minimum living wage, on an average per capita and main socio-demographic group basis, related to prices in June 2013. The relevant decision was laid down by Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 659 as of 26 July 2013, as reported by the press service of the Belarusian Government.

Issues of humanitarian cooperation between CIS countries to be discussed in Minsk

Issues related to humanitarian cooperation between the CIS countries were discussed in Minsk today. As Sergei Lebedev, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS, emphasised in his interview with reporters, cooperation in the humanitarian sphere was an important component of the Concept of Cooperation amongst the CIS Countries which was adopted in October 2007. Duma creates resonant laws

The regular session of State Duma of the Russian Federation has ended and the Deputies are on vacation. However analysts and political scientists are continuing to analyse the outcomes of the Duma activities for the year. Their assessments are contradictory. The spring session of the State Duma will be remembered for its several concurrent initiatives which have been particularly criticised. Notably, according to Fontanka.ru, these were principally a range of prohibitions e.g. those against adoption, smoking or the ownership of foreign accounts.
