26 Belarusian enterprises received ecological certificates ISO 14001

This year 26 Belarusian enterprises received certificates in compliance with international standards ISO 14001 in the sphere of environment protection. This war reported by the press-service of the Ministry of natural resources and environment protection.

Among those enterprises are RUE “Production Association “Belorusneft”, JSC “Belshina”, JSC “Naftan”, JSC “Seismotekhnika”, SOOO “Pinskdrev – DSP’, SZAO “Pinskdrev – Pinwood”, JSC “Svetlogorsk concrete products and constructs factory”, JSC “Grodnohlebproduct” and others. In 2008 the system of environment management for the first time has been implemented in social and charity organizations in particular in Belarusian and German SBP “Nadezhda – XXl vek” and International education centre n.a. Johannes Rau .

Thus the total number of the organizations that received certificates in compliance with international standards ISO 14001 in the sphere of environment protection makes up 181 in Belarus.

We would remind that ISO 14001 is a generally accepted international standard that defines the mechanism of the effective ecological management system implementation. The creation of environment management systems at industrial plants stimulates introduction of ecologically friendly, energy and recourse saving technologies, level decrease in adverse environmental impact, the increase of production capacity of enterprises and export.

We would add that in Belarus there is a tax privilege for the enterprises with the certificate – the organizations have a right to use the ration 0.9 when calculating amounts of ecological tax during 3 years starting from the day of receiving the certificate, pointed out in the Ministry. The saved money is used by enterprises to carry out environmental protection measures.
