D.Pankin: Belarus will get the second credit tranche till the end of February, 2009

“Second tranche of the Russian credit in the amount of $1 billion will be allocated to Belarus till the end of February, 2009 after the plan of priority measures is approved,” reported Dmitriy Pankin, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, meeting the journalists on December 18th.

At present Belarusian and Russian parties are coordinating the plan of activities relating to the tranche. As soon as it is reconciled, the wherewithal will be allocated.

Answering the question whether they will manage to do it till February 28th, 2009 Dmitriy Pankin said: “I hope, we will”.

We would remind you that on November 13th in Moscow the authorities signed an agreement on granting Minsk a loan in the amount of $2 billion. The first tranche of this credit was received by Belarus on November 13th, 2008.
