Developing the topic of the forthcoming meeting Semen Shapirco pointed out that “We (the Ministry of agriculture in Belarus, note by soyuz.by) have made up 5 documents: 2 concerning the relations with Russian federation in our sphere and 3 concerning the realization of proposals and claims made by Russian veterinarians which are aimed at promotion of veterinary supervision in the republic.”

Meanwhile the minister added that the Belarusian side have already sent documents to Russia and is waiting for the answer. “If our proposals are accepted we will affirm them during the joint board meeting on December, 11. If the Russian side has any objections, we will work further on them in the course of one or two weeks.” – the minister underlined.

Giving comments on the essence of the proposals of the Belarusian side Sergey Shapiro explained that they deal with the joint supervision and common approaches to the evaluation of product quality. The minister of agriculture confirmed the information, which has been given earlier by the Russian ambassador in Belarus Alexander Suricov, that veterinary services in Belarus and Russia will exercise control over enterprises following the same procedures, examine the same samples, which will help to exclude disputable questions on product quality.
