Results obtained by Rosselhoznadzor inspection of Belarusian meat and milk suppliers

Rosselhoznadzor experts summed up the results of the inspection carried out on August, 18-30 together with the representatives from the Belarusian veterinary service in 35 Belarusian enterprises on animal production processing. That was reported in the department press-service.

Since October, 1st, 2008 in compliance with the results of the inspection, enterprises "Starfood", "Parner and Co", plemptsitsereproductor "Yubileini", branch of "Grodnohlebproduct" public corporation and "Sevolux-Agro" branch of "Servolux" close corporation are excluded from the list of enterprises in Belarus that possess the right to animal production delivery to Russia since they do not correspond to the Russian veterinary and sanitary requirements and standards. Apart from that during the inspection at enterprises "Smolevichskaya broiler poultry farm" and agricultural production cooperative "Progress-Vertelishki" shortcomings have been revealed that didn’t allow including them in the list of Belarusian enterprises that have the right to deliver production to Russia.

In accordance with Rosselhoznadzor expert’s statement, during the inspection in the Republic of Belarus system shortcomings of the state veterinary control over such production have been revealed. The results of the inspection indicate a formalistic approach of Belarus to the recommendation of enterprises for acquisition of the right to production delivery to Russia and to guaranteeing of constant control over them by the Belarusian veterinary service, and also their full conformity with the Russian veterinary and sanitary requirements and standards.

In this connection Rosselhoznadzor addressed the Main Veterinary Medicine Department with the request to reconsider as soon as possible the list of the Belarusian enterprises delivering animal production to Russia, and to submit to Rosselhoznadzor the actualized list of the Belarusian enterprises that really fulfill in full the Russian veterinary and sanitary requirements and standards.
