Minsk is to apply relation approach of Belarus and Russian regions in economic relations with Kiev.

The last decade of the economic relations development between the Republic of Belarus and Russian regions proved the efficiency of such a multilevel cooperation. Strengthening the ties with Russian regions Belarus at the same time improves the quality of trade and economic cooperation with the Russian Federation at whole.

And if such an approach worked with Russia it must work with other neighbors for example with Ukraine . In particular President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko talked about the necessity to follow example of the relations between the republic and Russian regions when developing the trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Ukraine .

“According to this principle (of economic cooperation between Belarus and Russian regions, editorial comment) we are trying to develop cooperation with another neighboring state – Ukraine . This is a very close to us nation”, - said A.Lukashenko. Meanwhile the head of Belarusian state pointed out that Ukraine has a very deep feeling to Belarusian and Russian nations.

Giving comments on Belarusian and Ukrainian relations A.Lukashenko underlined the necessity for applying the experience of interregional cooperation to the relations between Belarus and Ukraine . “Formerly we rightly headed for the developing of the relations with Russian regions. Despite certain obstacles, barriers and difficulties we are moving forward with confidence”, - said the head of Belarus in particular.
