During January-June International Reserve Assets of Belarus Increased by 10.4% to $4.6 billion

During January-June 2008 international reserve assets of Belarus, according to IMF calculating procedure, increased by $ 435.3 million (10.4%) and on 1st June 2008 amounted to $4617.5 million, says statistical report of Belarusian National Bank. In June 2008 international reserve assets increased by $154.6 or 3.5%.

In June 2008 international reserve assets increased by $154.6 or 3.5%.

Assets in foreign currency and monetary gold form the largest part of international reserves – $4087.6 million or 88.5% and $444.7 million or 9.6%, respectively. During January-June assets in foreign currency increased by 6.7%, while monetary gold doubled . Other assets make up $84.2 million or 1.8%.

In national estimation during this period international reserve assets increased by $555.1 million or 11.1% to $5547.8 million on 1st June 2008.
