Rosatom: Agreement on Belarusian NPS construction will be ready for signing in third quarter of this year

Belarusian and Russian draft agreement on NPS construction in Belarus will be prepared for signing in the third quarter of 2009. That was reported to journalists by deputy Chairman of “Rosatom” state corporation Alexander Lokshin in Minsk.

He also specified approximate terms of construction:”five years starting from the first concrete pouring plus year or year and a half of preparation work”. He said also that the time when preparation work starts and the first concreter is poured depends on construction graph and financing terms”.

Answering the question about possibility of full credit for construction from Russian side he said that “financing terms are not written in this agreement yet”. Deputy Chairman of Rosatom also expressed his opinion that Belarusian energy export will only be possible if future NPS has not fewer than 3 energy bocks.
