The course of implementation of Belarusian building projects in Moscow, planned deliveries of construction materials from Belarus to Moscow project sites as well as work progress of the House of Moscow in Minsk are the main issues discussed at the regular meeting which was held by the Moscow City First Deputy Mayor in the Moscow City Government, Head of the Moscow City Architecture, Construction, Development and Reconstruction Complex Vladimir Resin at the organization’s headquarters.

On behalf on V.Resin the reports of the experts in the range of “Belarusian construction issues in Moscow” were heard by Dmitri Korobov, Head of Inter-Regional Programmes, and Department of the Moscow City Planning, Development and Reconstruction.

On the same day the representatives of the Moscow City Construction Complex had a business meeting with the executives of Belarusian enterprises that supply Moscow construction sites with building materials. The objective of the meeting was to define the product mix as well as the volume of deliveries to Moscow in 2009.

At the council held by V.Resin Vladimir Malets, head of Belarusian delegation of building material suppliers – Deputy Minister of Architecture and Construction of Belarus, summed up the above-mentioned meeting. In particular, he noted that the existing Belarusian legislation enables company’s management to set the price for exported goods independently as well as to conclude direct agreements of export supplies. Some more explanations were provided also by Petr Ivannikov, deputy head of SMI “Mosstroiresurs”. It is expected that all the necessary procurement documents will be signed in the nearest future. Conclusion of these contracts was stipulated by the resolutions of the Business Cooperation Council in November 2008 and approved by the Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov and the Prime Minister of Belarus Sergey Sidorski.

Second part of the council was devoted to Moscow projects being implemented in Minsk. The issues were examined by V.Resin and the Head of Minsk Municipal Executive Committee (the Head of city’s executive authority) Mikhail Pavlov as well as by the key specialists of the Moscow City Construction Complex. The state of affairs at the construction site of a cultural-business centre “House of Moscow” was recounted by the representative of the prime contractor – company “MOSSIB”. Assessing the progress at the site area M.Pavlov drew the attention of the prime contractor’s representative to the necessity of strict keeping on the construction schedule. Together with V.Resin and other experts the guest from Minsk discussed some issues concerning building problem-solving during global financial crisis.
