In Belarus Natural Persons Paid 25 Billion Rubles Taxes

In Belarus natural persons have paid taxes to the sum of 25 billion rubles, said deputy head of the chief directorate of natural persons taxation of the Ministry for Taxes and Levies of the Republic of Belarus Svetlana Shevchenko during the press conference.

In Belarus natural persons have paid taxes to the sum of 25 billion rubles, said deputy head of the chief directorate of natural persons taxation of the Ministry for Taxes and Levies of the Republic of Belarus Svetlana Shevchenko during the press conference.

According to her, 24,000 individuals declared their income earned in 2010. The budget received more than 25 billion rubles. The number of declarations that were filed by individuals has decreased by 14,000. However, this can be attributed to the changes in legislation: in 2009 a unified income tax rate was introduced and now it makes 12%.

In this regard, it is no longer required to file a gross annual income declaration, for taxes are now calculated at work. At the same time, an individual should submit a declaration if the income was received from abroad or in case they sold more than one apartment or a second car.

Svetlana Shevchenko said that this year 837 people addressed tax authorities with a request for exemption. Altogether 1,4 billion rubles was returned to them from the budget.

Besides that, a natural person does not need to declare the income if it is received as a gift and it does not exceed the aggregate amount of 17,5 million rubles a year. Development of legislation is aimed at creating equal conditions for taxation.
