“Gazprom” Pledged Itself to Keep Belarusian Gas Pipelines Running at Full Capacity

Public corporation “Gazprom” committed itself to keep the pipelines that lie across Belarus running at maximum capacity. It is stipulated by one of the clauses of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Russian agreement on the conditions of buying and selling shares and future activity of “Beltransgaz”, reports “RIA-Novosti”.

It is stipulated by one of the clauses of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Russian agreement on the conditions of buying and selling shares and future activity of “Beltransgaz”, reports “RIA-Novosti”.

“Public corporation “Gazprom” will apply every effort to keep gas pipelines located in Belarus running at full capacity,” reads the agreement.

The document confirms that “Beltransgaz” will deliver gas to Belarus, transport gas, build and develop gas pipelines and related facilities, as well as underground gas storage facilities in the country.

Every year “Beltransgaz” will pump natural gas into its underground gas storage facilities in the amounts necessary to ensure continuous delivery of natural gas to consumers and to maintain the technological process of underground gas storage facilities’ functioning.

The company will also perform as a customer when building and developing gas pipelines and related facilities, as well as underground gas storage facilities in Belarus.

It has been determined that “Beltransgaz” will perform as an operator managing gas pipeline Yamal – Europe on the territory of Belarus, as well as other existing and newly-developed gas pipelines.
