On January 21 Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov held in Moscow a traditional annual informal breakfast meeting with the ambassadors of the member states of the CIS.
On January 21 Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov held in Moscow a traditional annual informal breakfast meeting with the ambassadors of the member states of the CIS.Topical issues of the cooperation within the Commonwealth in economic, political and humanitarian spheres were discussed at the meeting. The participants took a favourable view of the previous year results, exchanged opinions on the prospects for the development of integration processes in Eurasia, Euro-Atlantic and Asia-Pacific regions and the role of CIS countries in these processes. The steps on further consolidation of the Commonwealth international position and coordination of its foreign policy were also discussed at the meeting.
