“Creation of a single ideological platform of the Union security was one of the major tasks set before the participants of the seminar,” said Moskalskaya Tatiana Nikolaevna, member of the Union Parliamentary Assembly committee for ecology, nature management and disaster consequences elimination, to the journalists that attended the press conference.

She also noted that so far much work has been done to work out a single security policy in the Union State. There have been elaborated a firm legal basis for security sphere and a unified attitude to present geopolitical challenges. There have been organized a well coordinated system of corruption and organized crime control.

As regards CSTO activity, T.Moskalskaya noted that Belarus and Russian are the most active members of this international organization. So far within CSTO three important agreements have been signed: on training military personnel for CSTO member-countries, on operational defence of the territory and resort to military facilities on the territory of CSTO countries as well as on establishing a system of CSTO collective security forces and facilities control.

T.Moskalskaya also mentioned the four vectors of active cooperation between Belarus and Russia that were lively discussed at the seminar. These are: fight against illegal migration, international terrorism, organized crime as well as illegal drug and psychoactive drug turnover.

Within the Union State this cooperation has not only theoretical but also practical orientation, reported T.Moskalskaya. For instance, during joint training and manoeuvres Belarusian and Russian armed forces practice to take coordinated action in field conditions. In military sphere the cooperation was marked by transferring Russian anti-aircraft missile systems C-300 to Belarus which made it possible to take one more step towards organizing a Union system of anti-aircraft defence.
