At present Union State budget is 12 times over the CIS budget, 18 times over the CSTO budget and 20 times over EurAsEC budget, reported Union State secretary Pavel Borodin at the press-conference that took place in Moscow on October, 21.

Deputy executive secretary of the Parliamentary Assembly Vladimir Novikov in his turn said that despite the actual approval of the Union State budget for 2009 there is a potential in it for those Union State programms that haven’t been approved yet. “About 400 million Russian roubles are provided for all union programms, which will be finally approved at the Union State Council of Ministers at the end of the current year and about 500 million Russian roubles are provided for subprograms, which will be approved in January or February of the next year”, - said Nikitin.

Making comments on embodying the union programms that are being discussed at Forum lll , Nikitin pointed out that there is a mechanism of reallocation of budgetary funds from those programms that haven’t proved out to those that are really necessary.

Borodin reminded that the Head of the RF Government Vladimir Putin at the past session of the Union State Council of Ministers that was held at the beginning of October said that union programms may be financed both from the budget of Russia and from the budget of Belarus.
