Belarusian NAS initiates union program “INITEKH” development

There are no vacancies for programs in the union budget since the competition between scientific institutions and ministries is quite severe to fill the financial document if the Union State with the advanced concepts of Belarusian and Russian scientists. Yet, there are always proposals that are submitted to union administration and are based on the recent world achievements.

Thus one of the projects proposed by the NAS of Belarus is the program “INITEKH”, scheduled for 2010-2014. The main spheres of the proposed program include complex research and developments that cover methods and technologies of knowledge discovery and representation as well as methods of classification of diverse and contradictory data, of precedential prognosticatation, technologies of processing, analysis and identification of images and complex dynamic scenes, methods and means of verbal input of connected speech into a computer, methods of analysis and synthesis of controlling complex dynamic objects and instrumental means of automation of complex technical objects designing.

During the implementation of the program it is proposed to create prototypes of intellectual autonomous systems that have an ability to adapt the behavior, to self-organization, reconfiguration and creating coalitions. It is planned to introduce also man-machine systems of decision-making support in conditions of uncertainty, the systems of automation of complex technical devices designing and robotized enterprises.

It is planned to develop and introduce perspective pilot patterns of applied intellectual systems for the control of energy systems and for emergency situations control. They will help also when searching for deposits f minerals and when controlling high maneuver aircrafts.

According to some scientists, economic efficiency from the program implementation is stipulated by both the expected rise of the application of intellectual information technologies and systems in different sectors of economy and the application of new intellectual information systems of civil and military purposes, systems of design and control of new generation that will allow to create competitive production that corresponds to world standards.
