Belarus to Supply Roskosmos with a Large Consignment of Equipment for Space Research

In the near future Federal Space Agency of Russia (Roskosmos) is to purchase a large shipment of equipment for space research in Belarus, informed Deputy Head of Roskosmos Anatoli Shilov meeting with Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich on February 5th, as is reported by BELTA.

In the near future Federal Space Agency of Russia (Roskosmos) is to purchase a large shipment of equipment for space research in Belarus, informed Deputy Head of Roskosmos Anatoli Shilov meeting with Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich on February 5^th, as is reported by BELTA.

The specialists of the Russian agency are primarily interested in payload technology for earth remote sensing. “This technology is unique. We are happy to have our Belarusian colleagues as a partner that we can learn a lot from,” noted Anatoli Shilov.

In his turn, Chairman of the Presidium of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said that Belarusian scientists are interested in developing cooperation with Roskosmos not only in the area of satellite creation and launch but also on other projects including forecasting of anthropogenic and environmental disasters, cartography and other areas.
